I am Bobbie Sue, three in one, a wife, a mother and a grandmother (Nannie). They have all made me who I am today.
WIFE - My husband, lover, friend and soul mate is my husband Larry. He is a retired Firefighter of 30 years and recently started another career of Corrections Officer. He has taken me on journeys that I would have never done on my own. We met in college and have been married for 40 years. Our life together has been exciting and taken many different directions. I am looking forward to growing old with this man.
MOTHER - Melissa and Tara have labeled me with that name since 1970. This title is a dream come true! I am so proud of my two girls and the joy they have given me. From their first little coo to their outright laughter of today, they have made me proud of who they have become. I am filled with awe when I see them with their families and their interaction with their children and husband. My girls are beautiful, patient, and kind. When I reflect back on my life, I am at peace because I know with God's help, Larry and I have raised two girls who are strong in their faith and strong in who they are. Thank you, my daughters, for making me a MOTHER!
NANNIE - Seven grandchildren, I am blessed! Little did I ever dream that I would have seven grandchildren! Thank you, Melissa and Ryan and Tara and Jason! Maison, my very first and born on my firstborns birthday. What a special day that was, Maison made me a Nannie and started the blessing flowing. Maison is becoming a young lady and has finally reached her Nannie's height. Evan, my very first boy and a dream come true. He is the apple of my eye and is caring and so filled with love for me. Harleigh, my second little girl, with blond hair and blue eyes, has always reminded me of her Mother. She is filled with laughter and is my girlie girl, she loves to dress up in Nannie's jewelry. Zane, the second grandson, has looks like his poppie's little boy pictures. He is shy and very loving, loves to spend the night with us and we love his so much. Cooper - Jason and Tara's third child and our third grandson. He is full of life and keeps his parents hopping. He is strong willed and often gives you that little look that melts your heart when he is in a pinch. Wyatt, our fourth grandson and although was so quiet and shy when he was a baby is full of life and chatter now. He has a disability but it is not getting him down, he is strong and works hard to keep up with his three brothers. Little Wyatt is a gift from God that we all welcome with open arms. Garrett, our fifth grandson and full of life. He keeps up with the rest and although is a "Mommy's boy", is starting to give us attention. He loves his poppie and jabbers up a storm. What a love he is!
After Melissa was born and I was pregnant with Tara, I always wondered how you could love anyone as much as your first born, but Tara was born and my love just grew. Well, the same happened when my grandchildren started to come. When Maison was born my heart was so full of love for her and she was so special to me, then Evan was born and he was so special and I loved his so much and then Harleigh, Zane, Cooper, Wyatt and finally Garrett and my heart just grew and grew as I found each of them to be so special, they are all a part of us and our love has continued to grow and grow.
Nannie is the special name, one I am so proud of and when those little grandchildren run up with open arms of love, my heart just melts.
Bobbie Sue - Barbara Sue Haskins Evans, was born March 13, 1947. When I was 3 years old, my father who was a firefighter for Wabash County, Wabash, Indiana, quit his job and went to Frankfort Pilgram College to become a minister. His career change also changed his families life.
I became a PK (preacher kid) and it molded my life. I learned by experience to depend on God for everything. I saw miracles first hand and my faith grew in HIM. God has been the anchor of my very soul, my faith in HIM has given me peace, peace that the world does not understand. There has never been a discision made in my life that I did not go to him first. God has ordained each breath I have taken over the years of my life. This is my peace! I am looking forward to the years ahead, to seeing my grandchildren grow up to become men and women of God and to become a vessel of use for my Heavenly Father!
